Therapy Services Offered
“I love my work. This is my calling. I consider it a privilege and honor that my clients allow me to join them in their journey to an empowered, more satisfying life.”
Vivian provides therapy to adults, couples, families, parents, and teens. She has just a couple of openings for children ages 5 – 12.
Specialties: I utilize an integrated approach of psychoeducation regarding the nervous system, trauma, and attachment, alongside various therapy modalities (including somatic-based practices like mindfulness, EFT, IFS, Family Systems, and CBT) to foster healing from family history, relational challenges, and navigate life transitions with resilience.
FAMILY AND COUPLES COUNSELING:
Do you want better communication and more satisfying relationships?
I implement a family systems approach combined with attachment training to effectively tackle communication hurdles, promote emotional regulation, and establish healthy boundaries for lasting positive transformation.
“Everyone wants to be heard and validated in their relationships, and this can get undercut with communication patterns that are often learned early in life. Let’s explore a better way.”
CODEPENDENCY AND EMOTIONAL ABUSE RECOVERY:
Do you long to experience a sense of well-being, positive self-image, and healthy, happy relationships? We all share that desire!
Healing involves delving into your family background, gaining knowledge about abuse (emotional or narcissistic abuse), questioning ingrained beliefs and attitudes, enhancing your self-connection, and establishing boundaries that align with your values.
“My greatest honor is to create a path for hope. I want my clients to love who they are, to recognize their contributions and talents, and feel confident enough to pursue the dream they have for their life. I know this is a tall order, but I believe it is possible, for everyone.”
TRAUMA AND MOOD DISORDERS:
Are you fed up with constantly battling stress and dragging yourself out of a dark and anxious state? Managing emotions can be draining, but it’s time to redirect that energy into something positive!
Countless individuals grapple with emotional challenges stemming from unresolved trauma. My method blends somatic (bottoms-up, mind/body) techniques, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and innovative strategies to guide you toward finding harmony with your past and embracing a present filled with mindfulness and joy.
TEENS AND TWEENS:
Do you have a teen that just seems miserable, unmotivated, or argumentative? Do you wonder if they need more support that you can give them?
This group needs space to express and understand themselves, and that is exactly what I can offer: art activities, movement, creative expression, and a healthy dose of coping skills. I also offer parenting support in terms of education around teen behavior and the teen brain (the brain is going through so many changes!).
” I specialized in working with teens and tweens for years and have a soft spot for this group. They need a space to find their voice, understand their feelings, and feel empowered in their lives.“
PLAY THERAPY:
Therapy for children is a beautiful and personalized journey, carefully crafted to embrace their unique needs. It stands apart from therapy for adults, as it delicately weaves in the participation of parents. My approach involves the world of structured play therapy, where each moment is a chance to explore, learn, and grow. I also infuse creative therapies, such as art and sand tray, movement, and play.
“It is my goal to connect to both children and their parents and create a space for lasting and meaningful transformation.”
SUPPORT FOR PARENTS OF DEFIANT, ADHD, OR KIDS WITH CHALLENGING BEHAVIORS:
Do you find yourself emotionally drained trying to manage your child’s behavior and seek peace for your family?
Parents frequently find themselves exhausted attempting to navigate challenging behaviors, and can feel guilty when their best efforts fall short. My purpose is to lift and support you, build and enhance a positive relationship with your child, and offer lasting impactful change.
“I am passionate about collaboration. It is important for me to connect to what values are most important for the family and turn that into a parenting plan that takes them to their fullest potential as a family.”
